TERMS & CONDITIONS

GETTING READY

a)  If you or anyone in your family are unwell, please let me know so we can reschedule accordingly.

b)  Make sure you make all the necessary arrangements for grooming and self-care in time before your session, such as: Make up, Haircuts, dyeing of grey hair or hair colour correction, manicure, pedicure, etc. These are not included in the retouching.

Sunscreen & Photography

While sunscreen is essential for everyday protection, please avoid applying it on yourself or your children on the day of your photo session—especially on the face. Sunscreen can leave a noticeable cast or sheen on the skin that’s visible in natural light and often very difficult to correct in editing. If sun protection is needed, consider applying it well in advance and gently blotting the skin before the session, or opt for hats and shade during breaks.

Transition Glasses

If you or your children wear glasses with transition lenses (the kind that darken in sunlight), please consider switching to clear lenses or removing them when we step outside. These lenses can obscure your eyes in bright light and affect the final look of your portraits. Since I’ll be paying close attention to the light, timing, and everything happening on the day, it’s helpful to have this sorted in advance so we can make the most of your session.

c)  Cancellation Policy: The reservation advance is non-refundable. Families/Newborns/Portraits: If you need to cancel/reschedule your session, please do so with a 7-day prior notice. Cancellations/reschedule requests within 3 days before the date of the session will be charged 50% of the total. Cancellations/reschedule requests within the 24 hs. of the session will be charged 100% of the session. Weddings/Christenings/Events: If you need to cancel/reschedule your event, please do so with a 90-day prior notice. Cancellations/reschedule requests within 30 days before the date of the session will be charged 70% of the total. Cancellations/reschedule requests within the 24 hs. of the session will be charged 100% of the session. If you have a studio reservation, please allow at least 15 days if rescheduling is needed as this is a prepaid service.

d)  Rainy days & Rescheduling: If you booked an outdoor/park session we will monitor the weather until the night before. If the forecast predicts rain, we can find an indoor alternative (your home/indoor venue) within the booking’s postcode or we can reschedule to a new date that accommodates both parties. I cannot shoot under the rain as the focus and my equipment could be compromised and the images won’t turn out as expected. We will be able to shoot if the park is wet, there will be no rescheduling due to cloudy days, as this presents a particularly good light condition for photography.

e) Please have a conversation with your children (no matter how old they are) regarding what will happen during the session so they will know what to expect: we will meet a lady who loves playing and taking photographs, we will explore the park and have a lovely morning/afternoon. Maybe create an incentive system looking forward to an event after the session (an ice cream, a babyccino, etc)

f) Payment: Please note that your date will not be blocked/reserved, until the reservation advance is Paid. The remaining payment must be covered: Weddings and big events, a week before the event: Portrait/Newborn/Branding/Family, the day of the session after I take your photos. No photos will be shared until the full payment for the session has been completed. When purchasing extra images, please make sure your payment for these is completed as soon as possible so the delivery of your gallery is not delayed.

g)  By paying the Reservation Advance, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the information provided in your original quote.

DURING YOUR SESSION

h)  Backdrops in your home/location: I will do a thorough job in finding the best spot in your house or office, thinking mainly about the light and backdrop. I will also, help out with removing unwanted objects and furniture that might be distracting. Have in mind that if I am not able to physically remove something in the background and surroundings, it will be very difficult to remove it in retouching, so I would appreciate if you could let me know if a particular object/furniture is not of your preference so we can find an alternative solution the day of your session.

i)  Working with children and teenagers: As an experienced family photographer, I will always do my best to achieve the absolute best images and work with your children so they can engage in the session in a playful way to get relaxed and spontaneous expressions. However, I can’t guarantee all children will be laughing and relaxed, as it really depends on each child on how they react to this moment.

j)  Please be aware of your child’s tidiness during the Session, so we can fix any unwanted issues during the session: dirty noses and clothes, etc.

k)  I will attend the session at the allocated time and for the duration specified in the quote provided. Any delays caused by your party being late or not being ready on time and making the session longer, will incur into an extra charge of £70 every 20 minutes.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

l)  Images & Retouching will include skin smoothing, sparkling of eyes, teeth whitening (if necessary), cropping and straightening, general image colour correction and light balancing. Any extra retouching requests may incur into an extra charge.
RAW images will not be provided as they are just part of the process (like ingredients to a cake) and they don’t reflect my final work.

m)  Printing: I can offer you to print images through my professional lab, when you receive your online gallery, through the shop. I can’t take responsibility for the printing performance of a non-professional photo printing service. It’s a matter or luck to be honest. Some of my clients print their images online or at home and their images come out very nicely. If you want my professional advice: don’t print at Snappy Snaps or Boots. You can find the printing service that suits you and it’s a matter of testing which one will work better. As the photographer the images will be correctly exposed and retouched, the printing area is a stage after me that you will need to handle with the supplier you choose, to be able to achieve the truest colours to the original image.
